(visual inspection)
DOT4 brake fluid
Do not permit the brake fluid
level to drop below the MIN
mark.
If the brake fluid level drops be-
low the permitted level:
Have the defect rectified as
quickly as possible by a spe-
cialist workshop, preferably
an authorised BMW Motorrad
dealer.
Coolant
Checking coolant level
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Check the coolant level in ex-
pansion tank 1. Viewing direc-
tion: from in front through the
opening in the side panel to
the expansion tank.
Minimum quantity of
coolant
do not permit the fluid level
to drop below the MIN mark
on the expansion tank
If the coolant drops below the
permitted level:
Top up the coolant.
Topping up coolant
Remove the centre trim panel
