5.1.2 Buffer/Backup mode parameters
! Incorrect parameter values (excessively high values)
may destroy the battery.
The "Buffer/Backup mode" parameter set displays the
following e. g.
Voltage 13,5V
Current 90A
Range: 11,0V-14,0V
Buffermode 12V
The following parameters can be selected in Buffer mode:
Battery Voltage Current
12 V 11 V – 14 V 3 A – 90 A
24 V 22 V – 28 V 3 A – 45 A
The following parameters can be selected in Backup mode:
Battery Voltage Current
12 V 10 V – 13 V 3 A – 10 A
24 V 20 V – 26 V 3 A – 10 A

5. Keep pressing until the configuration menu is
terminated.
6. Connect the battery and select "Buffer mode" or
"Backup mode".
"Buffer/Backup mode is implemented with the set
parameters.
5.2 Language
The "Language" menu is used to set the BAT 490 pro-
gram language.
1. Select the "Language" menu item.

5.3 Contrast
The "Contrast" menu is used to set the contrast
of the LCD.

5.4 Software version
The "Software version" menu displays the current soft-
ware version of the BAT 490.

5.5 Factory setting
The customer-specific parameters are deleted and
replaced by the factory parameters in the "Factory set-
ting" menu.
