Troubleshooting
5.5.8 EC (Refrigerant Leakage Detection diagnosis and solution)
Description: Define the evaporator coil temp.T2 of the compressor just starts running as Tcool.
Within first 8 minutes after compressor start, it will be measured that the condition T2<Tcool - 1K is kept at least for 4 seconds and the running
frequency is more than 50Hz for 3 minutes. If it is not the case and this occurs 3 times, “EC” failure will be shown on the display. The unit will turn off.
Possible defects:
Faulty T2 sensor
Faulty indoor PCB
System problems, such as leakage or blockages
Troubleshooting and repair:

Check the T2 sensor.
Repair the leakage and recharge the
refrigerant.
Check System for blockages and clear
blockages if present.
Are any leakages present?
Is it securely attached?
Replace the indoor
PCB
Is there cool air blowing out
fromindoor air outlet?
Does a problem remain?
Put your hands in front of the indoor
air outlet.
Check system for leakages.
Power off, then restart the unit 2 minutes later.
