Standby Battery Requirements
5.0 Standby Battery Requirements
5.1 Household Burglary and Commercial Burglary
Four hours of standby battery capacity required.
5.2 Bank Safe and Vault
Standby battery capacity of 72 hours is required (UL 365). Aux Power current for all devices, including control centers, must
be limited to 300 mA or less to meet this requirement.
5.3 Household Fire Warning Equipment
Standby battery capacity of 24 hours plus 4 minutes of alarm operation is required. See the Ampere-Hour Calculation
Formula in Section 6.2 Household Fire Warning Equipment on page 16.
