Malfunction Possible cause Solution
the door of
the freezer compartment was
open too long; the temperature
is no longer reached.
There is so much ice on the
evaporator that the NoFrost
system no longer defrosts fully
automatically.
To defrost the evaporator: remove
the freezer drawers and store in a
cool place, well insulated.
Switch off the appliance and push it away
from the wall. Leave the appliance door
open.
After approx. 20 minutes the defrost water starts
to flow into the defrost water collecting tray on the
rear wall of the device.
In order to prevent
the defrost water collecting tray overflows:
absorb the defrost water with a sponge.
If there is no more defrost water in
the drip tray is running, the evaporator has
defrosted. Clean the inside of the freezer
compartment. Restart the appliance.
Condensation water is collected on
the surface and the support plates
of the device
formed.
Warm and humid
ambient temperatures
amplify the effect.
Wipe off the water with a soft, dry
cloth.
■ Open the device as briefly as possible
■ Make sure that the device is always
closed properly.
