Before
starting
out,
please
take
the
time
to
read
through
this
manual.
That

TU-8
provides
two
different
tuning
modes.
For
ordinary
tuning
way,
you
can
feel
confident
that
you
have
gained
a
grasp
of
every
feature
you
can
use
the
AUTO
mode.
After
replacing
strings,
however,
you

Indicator
Lights
when
the
Flat/Double
Flat
tuning
mode
is
used.
Meter
Indicates
the
amount
by
which
the
input
note
differs
from
the
string
name
displayed
(by
the
String
Name
indicator).
When
the
needle
reaches
the
center
position
(“0”),
the
pitch
is
correct.
Internal
Microphone
(MIC)
Used
when
tuning
acoustic
instruments.
(Place
the
TU-8
close
to
the
instrument
or
vice
versa.)

The
internal
microphone
will
not
function
when
an
instrument
has
been
connected
to
the
Input
Jack.
Power/Mode
Selection
Switch
This
switch
serves
two
purposes;
it
turns
the
power
ON/OFF,
and
provides
selection
of
the
operating
mode:
AUTO
or
MANUAL.
Ordinarily
you'll
use
the
AUTO
mode.
When
replac-
ing
strings,
however,
using
the
MANUAL
mode
is
more
convenient.

The
