The ball hitch is assembled with cross-type screw connection and a hole distance of 40 mm (1) + (3).
If the ZKAS ball hitch is used as replacement for another coupling type, care must be taken with the shock absorber.
The opened ball hitch is placed onto the coupling ball of the towing vehicle (Fig. 5).
For activation, the operating lever must be moved from the closed position down up to the stop. (Fig. 6).
Slowly pull the operating lever up to deactivate the stabilisation. (Fig. 7).
Remove the light connector and tear-off rope, deactivate stabilisation (Fig. 7), pull back the operating lever.
Once the stabiliser has been connected and activated, the condition of the friction linings can be checked.
The ZKAS ball hitch can be secured with ROBSTOP anti-theft system through the special opening on the side.
It should have correct dimensions, be undamaged, clean and free of grease.
The ball space in the area with friction linings must be clean and free of grease inside. (Fig. 10).
Worn friction linings can be replaced. For this we provide a replacement kit with 2 friction linings.
The friction between the linings and the coupling ball may generate noises during operation.
