What to do if there is a grease fire in my Brinkmann Grill?
    • A
      Antonio PhillipsAug 17, 2025
A grease fire in your Brinkmann Grill is likely due to grease being trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To handle it, turn the control knobs and LP gas tank valve to the OFF position. Leave the lid either open or closed and let the fire burn out. If necessary, use a BC type fire extinguisher or baking soda, sand, or dirt to smother the fire. After the grill cools down, remove and clean all parts.

Why is my Brinkmann 810-1751-S not getting hot enough?
    • A
      Austin NortonAug 21, 2025
If your Brinkmann Grill isn't getting hot enough, the first thing to check is whether you're out of gas; if so, replace or refill the LP gas tank. Another possibility is that the flow limiting device may have been activated. Try a Mini Reset by turning the control knobs and LP gas tank valve to “OFF”, waiting one minute, and then relighting the grill. If the flames are still too low, perform a Full Reset: Turn everything off, disconnect the regulator from the propane tank, inspect the LP cylinder rubber seal, wait one minute, reconnect the regulator, perform leak testing, and then light the grill.

What to do if the flame blows out on my Brinkmann Grill?
    • C
      carljimenezAug 25, 2025
If your Brinkmann Grill flame blows out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the grill in windy conditions. Also, check if you're low on LP gas and replace or refill the tank if needed. Burner holes might be obstructed, so refer to the “Burner Assembly/Maintenance” instructions. Finally, the flow limiting device could have tripped; in that case, refer to the “Regulator Resetting Procedure”.

Why is the inside of my Brinkmann Grill lid peeling?
    • Y
      ybrownAug 27, 2025
If the inside of your Brinkmann Grill lid is peeling, it's likely due to baked-on grease buildup turning into carbon and flaking off. To resolve this, clean the grill thoroughly.

Why does my Brinkmann 810-1751-S have an irregular flame pattern?
    • A
      Amanda FosterAug 30, 2025
An irregular flame pattern in your Brinkmann Grill, where the flame doesn't run the full length of the burner, is often caused by clogged or blocked burner ports; cleaning the burner ports may resolve this. Alternatively, the air shutter on the burner might need adjustment; in this case, see the section on “Burner Adjustment”.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Brinkmann 810-1751-S?
    • J
      Jennifer KellySep 3, 2025
A yellow or orange flame on your Brinkmann Grill could be due to several reasons. A new burner may have residual manufacturing oils; burn the grill for 15 minutes on “HIGH” with the lid closed to resolve this. Spider webs or insect nests in the venturi can also cause this; clean the venturi and burner assembly. Food residue or grease can also be a factor, so clean the burner assembly. Lastly, poor alignment of the valve to the burner venturi may be the cause; ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the valve.

How to prevent flare-ups on my Brinkmann Grill?
    • S
      suttondanielleSep 6, 2025
Flare-ups on your Brinkmann Grill can be caused by grease buildup, so clean all grill parts. Excess fat in meat can also cause flare-ups, so trim fat from meat before grilling. Finally, excessive cooking temperature can contribute, so adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

What causes flashback or melting knobs on a Brinkmann Grill?
    • R
      Rodney GillSep 9, 2025
Flashback (fire in burner tubes) or melting knobs on your Brinkmann Grill is often due to blocked burners or burner tubes. Clean the burners and/or burner assembly to resolve this.

How to fix a Brinkmann Grill burner that won't light?
    • G
      Gary RodriguezNov 13, 2025
If the burner on your Brinkmann Grill won't light, start by ensuring the LP gas tank valve is open and the regulator is securely attached. If that's not the issue, check if the LP gas tank is empty and replace or refill if needed. A gas leak could also be the cause; if you suspect a leak, close the LP gas tank valve, wait 5 minutes, and follow the leak testing procedure in the owner’s manual. Other potential causes include a disconnected coupling nut and regulator, an obstruction of gas flow (clean the burner assembly and check for a bent or kinked hose), an improperly seated burner (reseat the burner and valve), spider webs or insect nests in the venturi (clean venturi and burner assembly), clogged or blocked burner ports (clean burner ports), a dead battery (replace the battery), cooking...
