Error Messages Meaning Remedy
ERROR E41 Error in communication
with the engine controller
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
then turn it on again. Refer to M-12
‘Engine interface error’ in this chapter.
ERROR E49 Malfunction of fuser
detected by hard wear.
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-9
‘Fuser failure’ in this chapter.
ERROR E50 Malfunction of fuser
detected
After the fixing unit was replaced, Turn on
the printer, then count blinking message 10
times, and then press “Job Cancel” key
immediately after 10th message of
“ERROR E50” appeared. Refer to M-9

ERROR E51 Malfunction of laser beam
detector
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-8

ERROR E52 Malfunction of laser unit
motor
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-8
‘Scanner failure’ in this chapter.
ERROR E53 Malfunction of fan motor
in the duplex unit
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again.
ERROR E54 Malfunction of main motor
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-4 ‘No
paper supplied’ in this chapter.
ERROR E55 Malfunction of high-
voltage power supply
Malfunction of transfer
roller ASSY
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-5

ERROR H60 Bus error Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again.
ERROR H61 Program ROM checksum
error
Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again.
ERROR H63 D-RAM error Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds,
and then turn it on again. Refer to M-10
