Summary

General Description and Operation

Power Considerations

Massive power supplies draw prodigious current and require dedicated circuitry for line problems. Plug into own wall socket.

Clipping Indicators

3-colour LEDs (green/yellow/red) indicate power on, caution, and overload/distortion. Correct red LED indications immediately.

Speaker Power Handling & Fuse Protection

Undistorted signals are safe; clipped signals can damage speakers, especially tweeters. Use fuses as recommended by speaker manufacturers.

Amplifier Modes and Connections

Bridged Operation (MONO Mode)

Two internal amplifier sections operate out of phase for a single 400W (8 ohm) push-pull amplifier. Uses only the left channel input.

Input Connectors

Features unbalanced RCA/phono and 3-pin balanced XLR/1/4" phone jacks. A toggle switch selects between balanced or unbalanced inputs.

Output Connectors and Cables

Four gold-plated binding posts accept banana plugs or bare wire. Low inductance speaker cables are recommended for minimal signal loss.

Grounding and Ground Switch

A ground lift switch disconnects chassis ground from signal ground to eliminate hum loops. Safety prong on power cord must remain intact.
