Why is video recording not starting on my Buffalo Storage?
    • D
      Dana GomezAug 3, 2025
If video recording doesn't start on your Buffalo Storage, first ensure that the surveillance camera setting is enabled in Settings. Also, verify that the LAN cables between the TeraStation and network camera are correctly inserted and that the power is on. Ensure the video recording policy is registered from Camera Policies and that the device is connected to the correct network and LAN port as set in Settings. Check if the disk is full, and if so, free up space. Make sure the time is correctly set for both the TeraStation and network camera in Settings. Finally, confirm that you have enough camera licenses; if not, purchase and register an additional license.

If you can't view the network camera using Live Viewer on your Buffalo Storage, it could be due to the network camera not being registered in some camera policies. To fix this, register the network camera from camera policies. Also, there might be an error in the network camera settings, so verify the settings in the camera policies.

What to do if recorded data is missing on Buffalo TeraStation TS3400D Storage?
    • S
      Steven GeorgeAug 25, 2025
If there is no recorded data or the recorded data cannot be found on your Buffalo Storage, it might be because a camera was added in camera policies while Surveillance Video Manager was running. If this is the case, this video may not be accessible. Restart Surveillance Video Manager to enable searching for recorded video from the new camera.
