Why don't the valves switch on my Burkert Touch terminals?

  If the valves on your Burkert Touch terminals aren't switching, first, check the electrical connection and ensure the correct load voltage is supplied. Next, verify that the manual override is in the neutral position. Also, make sure there's sufficient pressure supply, checking upstream devices like pressure controllers and shut-off valves. For valves without auxiliary pilot air, ensure a minimum operating pressure of 3.0 bar, paying attention to the pilot pressure to medium pressure ratio. Confirm that the system is designed according to the hardware design. Ensure the channel is released for operation by changing the parameter setting using the Communicator. Lastly, for the SIA variant, check that the connection terminal with a bridge or connected cable is properly connected.

  If the valves on your Burkert Touch terminals are switching slowly or blowing off at the exhaust ports, ensure a sufficient pressure supply, checking also upstream devices. For valves without auxiliary pilot air, ensure a minimum operating pressure of 3.0 bar. If you are using 5/2-way valves (Circuit function H) and 2x3/2-way valves (Circuit function D, normally open), operate the valve island with an external pilot pressure supply. Pressurize the valve block before switching the valves. Use sufficiently sized sound absorbers or expansion tanks, or clean soiled sound absorbers. If the pilot valve is soiled, replace it. Clean the filter using compressed air or replace it if there are foreign particles.
