4. Software Installation
Installing Network Drivers
You must install a network driver to allow the adapter to work with your network operating
system.
The system board provides various network drivers on the driver diskette. The following
provides the installation procedures for different network drivers.
Note:
Please install the “VIA PATCH FILE” first if you want to link your LAN
with Windows 98
For detailed information of each OS installation, please refer to the README (.TXT) file on
the driver diskette.
Software Installation Examples
Before installing the driver programs, please refer to each directory that contains a
README file, which provides detailed installation instructions, or to execute the
HELP8139.EXE help file viewer in DOS. The utility will then present with a screen
showing the information about how to install the network driver. Driver needed for
the adapter to work with the operating system.

Please note: The LAN Driver installation has to be done after completing Win 95/98/2000
installation.
When completed with the WIN 95/98 installation, please click “My Computer” to start your
LAN driver installation (procedure listed as below):

After finishing the above procedure, the screen will show “copy the files from?”
Please type A:\Rtsnt.100\Exe\Win95=> OK and select “OK”, the system will ask you to
insert Win95 driver diskette to update new driver.
After finishing the above steps, please shut down your system and re-boot the system.
