Why does my Canon Scanner stop scanning due to insufficient memory?
    • K
      Kyle MelendezAug 16, 2025
If you configure scanning conditions that require a large amount of the computer’s memory, scanning may stop due to insufficient memory. If an error message appears, exit the application, then change the scanning conditions by reducing the resolution or page size. You can also turn off [Moire Reduction] and [Prevent Bleed Through/Remove Background] to reduce memory usage.

How do I save multiple scanned pages into one file with my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240 Scanner?
    • C
      Cody HuffmanAug 19, 2025
If you are unable to save multiple pages of scanned images to a single file using your Canon Scanner, note that this depends on the file format when using CaptureOnTouch. When you select [Scan Batch to File] from the [Scan] menu in CapturePerfect, a dialog box appears with a [Multi Page Settings] pull-down that allows you to select [Single Page]. If you select [Single Page] here, each page of a multi-page document is saved as a separate image file. To save multiple pages to a single image file, select [Multi Page (All Pages)].

Why are pages missing when I use my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240?
    • S
      Stephanie McguireAug 22, 2025
To resolve pages missing during scanning with your Canon Scanner, adjust the [Scanning Side] setting. If it’s set to [Skip Blank Page], documents with very little black may be skipped. Decrease the likelihood of skipping blank pages or set the [Scanning Side] to another mode, like simplex or duplex.

What to do if my Canon Scanner is not recognized by my computer?
    • E
      emily94Aug 26, 2025
If your Canon Scanner is not recognized, confirm that the scanner is properly connected to the computer with the supplied USB cable and that the scanner is turned on. The computer’s USB interface may not fully support the scanner, as it cannot be guaranteed to work with all USB interfaces. If connected via a USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer.

What to do if scanned images from my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240 Scanner don't appear in the application after scanning?
    • P
      perezbrettAug 27, 2025
When [Panel-Feeding] or [Automatic Feeding] is selected as the feeding method on the scanner driver's Detail Settings screen, the scanner awaits additional documents after all documents are fed. To finish the operation and send the scanned images to the application, press the Stop button on the operating panel.

How to fix document jams or double-feeding in my Canon Scanner?
    • K
      Kristine SmithAug 31, 2025
To prevent documents from jamming or double-feeding in your Canon Scanner, ensure the roller is correctly installed and clean if necessary. If pages stick together due to static electricity, fan the documents before loading them. Alternatively, set the feed selection lever to Bypass mode and manually feed one page at a time.

How to remove white lines or streaks from Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240 Scanner images?
    • L
      leslie43Sep 3, 2025
If white lines or streaks appear in scanned images from your Canon Scanner, clean both sides of the scanner glass and the rollers. For sticky substances like glue or correction fluid, carefully wipe the affected area. If cleaning doesn't solve the problem, the internal glass may be scratched, and you should contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

How to fix slanted scanned images on a Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240?
    • S
      Scott PerrySep 6, 2025
To correct slanted scanned images from your Canon Scanner, align the document guides to fit the documents closely and ensure they feed straight. Open the document feed extension support. Enable [Automatically straightens skewed] in the scanner driver settings. Clean the rollers if many pages have been scanned since the last cleaning. If the issue persists, roller replacement or other maintenance may be needed.

Why does my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240 Scanner save images as TIFF instead of JPEG?
    • G
      Gina LopezSep 9, 2025
When scanning documents with CapturePerfect and [Color Mode] is set to [Detect automatically] in the scanner driver, documents detected as black and white are automatically saved in TIFF format, even if the file type is specified as JPEG format. To save all images in JPEG format, change the scanning [Color Mode] to either [24bit Color] or [256-level Gray].

Why isn't my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C240 Scanner scanning with the driver settings I configured?
    • K
      Kenneth EvansSep 12, 2025
When you scan using the [Select document] panel registered with CaptureOnTouch, the CaptureOnTouch settings take priority over the scanner driver settings. To adjust this, edit settings in the [Select document] panel or create a new [Select document] panel using the desired scanning conditions.
