What to do if cut sheets cannot be pulled out from Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6450 Printer?
    • M
      Mark WatsonAug 6, 2025
If cut sheets are stuck in the front paper feed slot of the Canon Printer, and you can't pull them out, it may be due to using paper other than POP board. Try pushing the sheet from the front towards the back; once the edge appears at the back, pull it out. If roll paper is warped, straighten it and reload it. If paper is jammed, remove the jammed paper. If the paper feed slot is closed after manually pulling out paper, remove the roll and open the paper feed slot.

Why is my Canon Printer not cutting the paper?
    • K
      Kelly HillAug 15, 2025
The printer might not be cutting because a printed document is caught on something near the Output Tray, lifting the document and causing the cutter to pass underneath. Make sure there are no foreign objects obstructing the Output Tray so the printer can eject documents levelly. Also, check the printer driver settings: 'Automatic Cutting' should be set to 'Yes'. Finally, verify that the Cutting Mode in the Control Panel menu is not set to 'Eject' or 'Manual'. If it is set to Eject, press the Cut button to cut the paper. If it is set to Manual, use scissors or a cutting tool.

What to do if the Data lamp on Canon Printer Control Panel doesn't light up?
    • C
      Christopher ParkerAug 19, 2025
If the Data lamp on the Canon Printer's Control Panel isn't lighting up, first, ensure the printer is turned on and the power cord is securely plugged in. Next, verify that the correct printer was selected during printing in your operating system's print settings. Lastly, check if the print job is paused and restart it via the Printers and Faxes (or Printers) window in Windows, or through the Print & Fax settings in Mac OS X.

How to fix uneven cuts on my Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6450?
    • B
      Barbara MartinAug 25, 2025
If the Canon Printer paper isn't cutting neatly, straighten out any curls on the edges of the paper. Ensure the paper is loaded correctly to prevent it from rising at the cut position. If you're using paper that the Cutter Unit can't handle, specify Manual cutting mode in the Control Panel and use scissors. Adjust the Cut Speed setting in the Control Panel menu. If documents are falling out at an angle, set Cutting Mode to Eject and hold them as they're cut.

Why is there a depression on the leading edge of paper in Canon Printer?
    • B
      blanchardannaSep 1, 2025
If there's a depression on the leading edge of the paper in your Canon Printer, it may be due to keeping a roll in the printer for an extended period without printing. To prevent this, especially when printing quality is important, set TrimEdge Reload to On or Automatic to automatically cut the paper edge before printing.
