Perform low level formatting when [Memory card error] appears, the camera
does not operate properly, or you think that the recording/reading speed of a
memory card has dropped. As you cannot retrieve the erased data, exercise
adequate caution before formatting the memory card.
Display the menu.
● Press the n button.
Choose [Format].
● Press the qr buttons to choose the 3
tab.
● Press the op buttons or turn the

dial
to choose [Format], then press the
m
button.
Choose [Low Level Format].
● Press the op buttons or turn the  dial
to choose [Low Level Format], then press
the qr buttons to display .
● Press the opqr buttons or turn the Â
dial to choose [OK], then press the m
button.
Start the low level format.
● Press the op buttons or turn the  dial
to choose [OK], then press the m button.
X Low level formatting starts.
X When low level formatting ends, [Memory
card formatting complete] will appear.
Complete the low level format.
● Press the m button.
