Why is there no sound coming from my Canton Digital Movie 55 Speakers?
    • M
      Mr. Michael SmithJul 31, 2025
If there is no sound reproduction from your Canton Speakers, several factors could be at play. Ensure that the sound format of the source device is correctly selected, especially for digital inputs like “TV” and “DVD”, as “DTS” encoded output formats are not supported. Verify that your source device is producing a signal and that the digital output on the source device is activated. Check all cable connections between the source device and the DM system, replacing any faulty cables. Also, make sure you have removed the protective caps from the optical cable.

What to do if my Canton Digital Movie 55 Speakers don't switch to BT input automatically?
    • T
      Thomas GonzalesAug 8, 2025
If your Canton Speakers are not automatically switching to the BT input, first ensure that the SEL function is activated (set to AUT). Also, check that Bluetooth® is activated on your mobile device. If the system is connected to a different mobile device, deactivate Bluetooth® on that device. Finally, confirm that your mobile device is properly connected to the DM system.

Why is there no playback via Bluetooth on my Canton Speakers?
    • M
      Mr. Andrew Bradford Jr.Aug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing no playback via Bluetooth® on your Canton Speakers, first ensure that there is a connection between the DM system and your mobile device by connecting your mobile device as described in the manual. If the mobile device is paired but no playback occurs, try reconnecting the mobile device. Also, make sure the volume on the mobile device is set to maximum and increase the volume of the DM system. Ensure that there are no interference sources like a WLAN router or laptop in close proximity to the DM system. Concurrent operation of WLAN and Bluetooth® connection from a mobile end device is not possible without interferences in most cases, so disable WLAN on your mobile device.

How to fix soft sound reproduction on Canton Digital Movie 55?
    • S
      Susan BallAug 21, 2025
If the sound reproduction on your Canton Speakers is too soft, the volume of the DM system or the source device might be set too low. Increase the volume using the “Volume” button and also increase the volume of the source device. Additionally, the maximum possible volume may have been limited by the “Volume” function. If this is the case, increase the max. possible volume in line with instructions.

Why do my Canton Digital Movie 55 switch to BT input inadvertently?
    • M
      Mrs. Erin RamirezAug 26, 2025
If your Canton Speakers are switching to the BT input unexpectedly, it may be due to system tones from your mobile device, such as keyboard typing sounds. To prevent this, deactivate the SEL function (set to MAN). Additionally, you can deactivate the system tones on your mobile device.

What to do if my Canton Digital Movie 55 are humming?
    • C
      Cynthia PittsNov 3, 2025
If your Canton Speakers are emitting a humming sound, it could be due to several reasons. A long signal cable from the source device to the DM system (AUX) may be the cause, so try using a shorter cable. The signal cable might not be shielded properly or the shielding could be damaged; in this case, replace it with a shielded cable. A ground loop could also be the culprit, especially if multiple devices are connected via a signal line and plugged into separate sockets. Try plugging all safety class I devices connected to the DM system into one multiple outlet strip. Another piece of equipment on the same circuit might be causing interference. To test this, switch off potential sources of interference or connect the source of interference to a different circuit. You might also consider inse...
