What to do if Canton Speakers have no sound?

  If your Canton DM system has no sound, there might be several reasons: * The sound format of the source device is wrongly selected. You should check the correct setting of your source device, as „DTS“ or „Dolby Digital“ coded output formats cannot be reproduced. * The source device is not producing any signal. The digital output on the source device might not be activated. * The cable is not correctly connected or is faulty. Check the connection of the source device to the DM 8.2 and change the cable where necessary.

  If your Canton DM system is humming, here are possible causes and solutions: * The signal lines from the source device to the DM system might be too long. Try using a shorter signal line. * The signal line used might not be fault-protected or the protection has been damaged. Change the signal line for a fault-protected one. * A ground loop might be generated. If two or more devices connected via a signal line are plugged into separate sockets, plug all devices connected to the DM 8.2 into a multiple socket output using safety plugs. * Another piece of equipment on the same circuit might have no interference suppression. Switch off possible sources of interference to test; unplug the device concerned to see if the humming noise disappears or connect the source of interference to a ...
