This document is an instruction manual for the Caple Built-in 70/30 Fridge Freezer, model RI7306. It provides comprehensive information regarding the safe installation, use, and maintenance of the appliance, as well as advice for optimal performance.
Function Description
The Caple RI7306 is a built-in 70/30 fridge freezer, meaning the refrigerator compartment occupies approximately 70% of the internal volume, and the freezer compartment occupies 30%. It is designed for household use and is not intended for commercial applications. The appliance utilizes Frost Free Technology, which employs a built-in fan to circulate dry and cold air evenly throughout both compartments, preventing frost build-up and ensuring uniform cooling of food. This technology eliminates the need for manual defrosting of the freezer compartment. The refrigerator compartment features automatic defrosting, with water collected in an evaporation tray and evaporated automatically.
The appliance includes a control panel for temperature setting, a Super cooling mode for rapid cooling or freezing of large quantities of food, and an alarm indicator LED to signal problems. It also incorporates Caple-Fresh technology, which uses a Maxi-fresh preserver filter to eliminate ethylene gas (a by-product of fresh foods) from the vegetable drawer, thereby maximizing the shelf life of fresh produce, particularly green vegetables. This filter also helps block bad smells within the refrigerator.
Important Technical Specifications
- Voltage and Frequency: Operates from 220-240 volts and should be protected by a 13 amp fuse in the plug.

- Freezing Capacity: The maximum amount of fresh food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is indicated on the appliance label.
Usage Features
- Temperature Control: A temperature set button allows users to adjust the temperature of both the fridge and freezer compartments. Pressing the button decreases the set temperature, cycling from MIN to MAX.
- Super Cooling Mode: Activated by pressing the temperature set button until the Super cooling symbol blinks. This mode is ideal for quickly cooling or freezing large quantities of food, fresh food, or seasonal food, and automatically cancels after 5 hours.
- Humidity Controlled Drawer: A dedicated drawer for fruits and vegetables with a humidity controller. Closing the controller position extends storage for fresh produce, while opening it (especially when the drawer is full) controls air and humidity to increase endurance life.
- Easy Adjustable Door Shelf: One door shelf is adjustable to six different height positions. Users can adjust it by holding the bottom of the shelf and pulling the buttons on each end to unlock and reposition.
- Ice Tray: Included accessory for making ice cubes.
- Food Storage Guidelines: Detailed recommendations are provided for storing various food types in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments, including maximum storage times and optimal placement to prevent contamination and maintain freshness.
- Holiday Mode:
- Short holidays (less than three weeks): Leave the fridge freezer operating.
- Long holidays (several months): Remove all items, turn off the appliance, clean and dry the interior thoroughly, and leave the door slightly open to prevent odour and mould growth.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning:
- Disconnect from power supply before cleaning.
- Do not pour water directly onto the appliance.
- Use a solution of bicarbonate of soda and lukewarm water for regular cleaning.
- Clean accessories separately by hand with soap and water; do not use a dishwasher.
- Clean the condenser with a brush at least twice a year to save energy and increase productivity.
- Ensure no water enters the lamp housing or other electrical components.
- Caple Fresh Filter Maintenance: The Maxi-fresh preserver filter needs to be cleaned once a year by leaving it in sunlight for one day. The back side of the filter can be removed for cleaning. Do not wet this part with water or detergent.
- Defrosting (Refrigerator): Occurs automatically. The evaporation tray and water drain hole should be cleaned periodically with the defrost drain plug to prevent water accumulation. Pouring half a glass of water down the drain hole can also help clean it.
- LED Lighting Replacement: Replacement of LED lighting should only be performed by a qualified electrician; contact Caple service to arrange.
- Troubleshooting: The manual includes a section to help users diagnose common issues (e.g., alarm indicator, appliance not operating, poor performance, noises) before calling for service.
- Door Gasket: Ensure the door gasket is clean and pliable; replace if worn to maintain efficiency.
