Troubleshooting Models 60 & 62
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
11. The machine will not operate
when the control switch is in
the AUTO position.
a. The draw arm is not raised. a. Raise the draw arm momentarily to
activate the system.
b. The beater motor is out on reset. b. Reset the freezer.
c. The circuit breaker is off. c. Turn the breaker on.
d. The water is turned off (water cooled
units).
d. Re-establish the water supply.
e. The power cord is unplugged. e. Plug the power cord into the wall
receptacle.
12. The water continues to flow
through the spinner housing.
a. The rinse solenoid is stuck open. a. Repair or replace the solenoid.
13. The lift motor continues to
raise the draw valve after a
draw of product has been
made.
a. The micro switch needs adjustment. a. Repair or replace the micro s witch.
14. The air compressor runs too
often for normal usage.
a. There is an air leak in the system. a. Use a s oap solution to locate the leak.
15. The spinner shaft will not
rotate to blend syrup into the
product.
a. The flexible cable is broken. a. Replace the cable.
b. A pin is missing in the female quick
disconnect.
b. Replace the disconnect.
c. The spinner motor is out on thermal
overload.
c. Inadequate lubrication of the spinner
shaft. Lubricate the entire length of the
shaft.
16. Excessive dripping of product
from the spinner housing.
a. Worn o-rings on the draw valve. a. Replace o-rings every 3 months.
b. Incorrect o-rings on the draw valve. b. Check the o-ring size.
c. Inadequate lubrication of the spinner
shaft.
c. Follow lubrication procedures in the
Operator’s Manual.
17. Head pressure is too high. a. Refrigerant overcharge. a. Correct the refrigerant charge.
b. There is air in the system. b. Purge and recharge the system.
c. The condenser is dirty or there is a
water loss.
c. Clean the condenser. Check the water
supply.
d. The location is too warm. d. Change to a cooler location.
e. The blower is not operating. e. Repair or replace the blower.
f. Insufficient clearance around the
freezer.

18. Head pressure is too low. a. Shortage of refrigerant. a. Repair the leak and recharge the
system.
19. The liquid line is hot. a. Shortage of refrigerant. a. Repair the leak and recharge the
system.
20. The liquid line is frosted. a. There is a restriction in the liquid line. a. Replace the line or remove the
restrictions.
