First, ensure the AC adapter is correctly attached, the batteries are properly inserted with correct polarity (+/–), and the batteries are not dead. Also, verify that the power is turned on by pressing the POWER button and that the volume is adequately raised using the VOLUME knob. If you are playing in the accompaniment keyboard area while the MODE button setting is CASIO CHORD or FINGERED, try turning off Auto Accompaniment. Check if Local Control is off and turn it on. Finally, ensure that Mixer channel 1 is turned on and its volume isn't too low by adjusting it in the Mixer.
