  If your Casio Electronic Keyboard takes a long time to turn on, it may be due to corrupted memory data from a data transfer operation with a computer that was in progress the last time you turned off the keyboard. It takes about 20 seconds after you turn on the power to perform the memory format operation. Wait until the format operation is complete and avoid turning off the keyboard while a data transfer operation is in progress.

  If your Casio Electronic Keyboard isn't producing sound, there are several potential causes: * The VOLUME controller might be set to “MIN”. Rotate the VOLUME controller more towards “MAX”. * Headphones or an adapter plug might be plugged into one of the PHONES jacks. Disconnect anything connected to the PHONES jacks. * MIDI Local control might be turned off. Turn on the Local control setting.

Why is the pitch off on my Casio Electronic Keyboard?

  If the pitch of your Casio Electronic Keyboard is off, consider these possible causes: 1. The key setting may be something other than “0”. Change the key setting to “0”, or turn the keyboard off and then back on again. 2. The keyboard tuning may be incorrect. Adjust the tuning, or turn the keyboard off and then back on again. 3. Octave shift may be enabled. Change the octave shift setting to 0. 4. A non-standard temperament setting may be in use. Change the temperament setting to “00:Equal”, which is the standard modern tuning.

  If the tones and/or effects on your Casio Electronic Keyboard sound strange, and turning the power off and on doesn't fix it, the “Back up” feature may be turned on. Turn off “Back up”, then turn the power off and on again.
