ACTIVE SENSING*
This message checks for disconnection of the MID! cable. This message is sent at regular intervals
whenever there are no other messages being sent by the sending device. The WK-1500 forces
termination of all tonal output if no message is received within 420msec after this message is received.
Song Memory Contents and Demo Tunes
* Song Memory playback tracks can be sent over Channels 11 through 16.
* Demo tune contents cannot be sent as MIDI data.
¢ Received MIDI data cannot be recorded in the WK-1500’s Song Memory.
Touch Response
* When touch response is turned off while the WK-1500 is the sending unit, data is sent without
keyboard touch data. :
¢ When touch response is turned off while the WK-1500 is the receiving unit, notes are played using
keyboard touch data.
Stereo Position and Effect Depth
* These settings are made in accordance with MIDI data received from an external source.
¢ The maximum effect depth setting is fixed when Effect 07 (ENHANCER) or 09 (LOUDNESS) is on,
and any specification received from an external source is ignored.
Musical Pads
Tones assigned to each pad along with their tone numbers are sent as MIDI data.

The following procedure describes how to specify which MIDI channel will be used for sending
keyboard data, pitch bend wheel data, modulation switch data, etc.
