Assigning

to
send
keyboard
note
data
and
some
other
data
causes
both
types
of
data
to
be
sent
over
the
channel
at
the
same
time.
Example:
Assigning
keyboard
note
data
to

then
playing
with
auto-accompaniment
causes
keyboard
on/off
data
and
rhythm

on/off
data
both
to
be
sent
over
channel
10.
Under
General
MIDI
specifications,
channel
10
is
defined
as
a
percussion-only
channel,
so
sending
this
data
as-is
to
a
General
MIDI
sound
source
results
in
the
percussion
sounds
not
being
played
at
all.
Instead,
a
rhythm
repeat
pattern
is
added
and
percussion
sounds
are
played
when
the
keyboard
keys
are
pressed.
