TheCB510/516switch-modebatterychargerhasbeenexpresslydesignedforthecaravanningand
boatingsectorandcanautomaticallycharge12V leadbatteries,withdifferentchargingvalues
accordingtothepositionsetusingtheselectorpositionedinside.
Thebatterychargerisprotectedagainstovertemperatureandthe12V outputsareprotected
againstshortcircuitandpolarityinversion.
Thehighfrequencyswitchingtechnologyallowshighperformanceswithsmalldimensionsandlimited
weight.
Phase1: – whenswitchingonthebatterycharger,onlyifneeded,thebatteryis
chargedat15.2V untilthecurrentexceeds2A orforamaximumof2hours.
Phase2: -batterychargingwithmaximumcurrentuntiltheend-of-chargevoltageisreached.
:theend-of-chargevoltageisreachedonlyifthebatteryisefficient.
Phase3: – batterychargingatcostantend-of-chargevoltageforthetimedefinedbythe
chargingline,withaprogressive reduction
Phase4: – Maintenancechargingatconstantvoltageforamaximumtimeof15hours.A high
loadleadstophase startingagain.
Phase5: – Thebatterychargerstopssupplyingpower.Itwillswitchovertothe
phase whenthebatteryvoltagegoesunder13V .
Phase6: – Thebatteryischargedatthe voltageforamaximumtimeof1h;thisphase
isdesignedtocompensateforthebatteryself-discharge.Oncecompleted,thecharging
startsagainfromthe phase.
Inmostcases,theselectorcanbesetonposition “A” forled-acidbatteries,onposition “B” forlead-
gelbatteriesandonposition “C” for AGMbatteries.
Nevertheless,itisrecommendedtoconsultthedatasheetofthebatteryinstalled.
