5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Dirt Cleaning Important
Usual dirt
on glass
(ngerprints,
marks, food
stains,etc.).
1. Unplug the induction hob from
the mains.
2. Apply a worktop cleaner while
the glass is still warm (not hot).
3. Rinse and dry with a clean cloth
or a paper towel.
4. Reconnect the induction hob
to the mains if you wish to
continue using it.
If you unplug the induction hob from
the mains, the hot surface indicator
will disappear, but the cooking zone
will be hot. Be especially careful.
Strong or some nylon scouring
pads and strong/abrasive cleaning
products can scratch the glass.
Always read the label to check if your
cleaning product or scouring pad is
suitable.
Never leave any cleaning remains
on the induction hob: glass may get
stained.
Spills of sugar
and other hot
melted food on
glass.
Remove them immediately with a
spatula or a suitable scraper for
induction hobs, but be careful with
the hot cooking zone:
1. Unplug the induction hob from
the mains.
2. Hold the cookware at a 30°
angle and scrape the dirt or
spillage onto a cool area of the
hob.
3. Clean the dirt or spill with a
cloth or paper towel.
4. Follow steps 2 to 4 from the
‘Usual dirt on glass’ section.
Remove melted and sugary food
stains or spills as soon as possible.
If left to cool on the glass, they may
be dicult to remove or may even
permanently damage the glass
surface.
