  If your Central Pneumatic Air Compressor doesn't start, there could be several reasons. First, the tank might already be pressurized, in which case the compressor will start when needed. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and that the power supply matches the compressor's requirements. Check the outlet for power by resetting the circuit breaker or having it serviced. If the thermal overload switch tripped, turn off the compressor, let it cool, and press the reset button. Also, check the building's power supply circuit and replace the fuse if necessary. Ensure you are using an appropriate diameter and length extension cord. If none of these steps work, a qualified technician should inspect the unit.

  If your Central Pneumatic Air Compressor isn't building enough air pressure, start by checking and cleaning or replacing the air filters. A technician may need to service the check valve. Ensure the compressor is large enough for the job; verify that the accessory CFM is met by the compressor. If not, a larger compressor is needed. Inspect all fittings for leaks using a soap solution and tighten as necessary. Replace narrow hoses or hose connections with wider ones. If the crankcase oil is too thick, drain and refill with the recommended oil. Note that high altitudes may reduce air output, requiring a compressor with greater output.
