Engine Oil
In order that engine, transmission, and clutch work properly, maintain the engine oil at the proper level, change
the oil and replace the oil filter in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart. During lubrication processes,
not only produces dirt and metallic impurities, also will consume itself.
WARNING
Motorcycle
with insufficient, deteriorated or contaminated engine oil will cause accelerated
wear and may result in engine or transmission seizure, accident and injury.

If the oil has just been cha
nged, start the engine and run it for several minites at idle speed. This fills the oil
filter with oil. Stop the engine, and then wait several minutes until the oil settles.
CAUTION
Run the engine at high speed before
the oil reaching every part can cause engine seizure.

If the motorcycle has just been op
erated, wait several minutes for all the oil to drain down.
● Check the engine oil level
through the oil level mirror. With the motorcycle held level, the oil level should
between the upper and lower level lines.
