The Front Panel PCB:
The front panel PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is attached to the chassis by 8x M4 spacers
as pictured below. These can be removed using a 7mm nut driver tool or spanner. There
are also 3x M4x10 screws with shake-proof washers at the bottom of the PCB. These
should be removed using a PZ2 screwdriver.
The spacers that hold the PCB to the chassis are made of brass, and are therefore easier
to shear off. Large amounts of force should not be applied to them when removing or
replacing them.
Once all fixings have been removed, the PCB should then be lifted from bottom. After
lifting to around 45 degrees, you will then be able to remove the front panel cable from
roughly the centre of the PCB. Do this by pushing the latch, and pulling to remove. You
will also need to remove the display cable. This is easier to remove from the rear panel
end, as you simply need to pull to remove. At the front panel end, this should be secured
with a cable tie. Finally, on older consoles you will also need to remove the 2x working
light cables in the far corners of the PCB. Simply pull to remove.
The PCB should now be free to be removed from the base of the console.
