Vehicle in Workshop
When working on a vehicle in the workshop
always make
sure t
hat:

rking brake
is applied or

whee
ls are securely
chocked to

the vehicle moving forwards or
backwards.
•
T

key

ved fro
m
key operate

ho
od locks b

fore
any
work is
carried ou

around the front of the vehicle.
•
If the
en
gine is to
be run,
the
r
e
is
ad
equate
ven
t
ila
tion,
or an
extra

tio
n
hose to remove exhaust fumes.
• There is adequate room to raise the
vehicle and remove the wheels, if
ne
cessary
.

nder covers are always fitted
if any
work is to be carried out in the engine
compartment.
• The battery is disconnected if working on

e engine, u

vehicle, or if
the vehicle is raised.
WARNING: When electric arc welding on a

Owing the Vehicle
WARNING: When the vehicle is being
towed, the
ignition
switch m

tion ACC (steering lock released and haz-
ard warning lamps illuminated). Only then
will the turn signal lamps, horn and brake
lamp
s be operationa
l. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in personal
injury
