If your Char-Broil Grill burner won't light with the ignitor, begin by inspecting the gas components. Confirm that the burner is properly engaged with the control valve. Check for any obstructions within the burner. Verify that your LP cylinder is not empty. If you suspect a gas flow issue, disconnect and reconnect the coupling nut from the LP cylinder. Ensure that the coupling nut and LP cylinder valve are fully connected. Next, examine the electrical parts of the ignitor. Look for any cracks or breaks in the electrode and replace if necessary. Make sure the electrode tip is correctly positioned towards the gas port opening on the burner, maintaining a distance of 1/8” to 1/4”. Clean any cooking residue from the wire and electrode.
