What to do if my Char-Broil 463250510 burner won't light using the ignitor?
    • M
      Maria RobinsonAug 19, 2025
If the burner on your Char-Broil Grill won't light using the ignitor, it could be due to a faulty electronic ignition circuit. See Troubleshooting Integrated Electronic Ignition section. Alternatively, the spark might be occurring somewhere other than between the burner and electrode; inspect the wire insulation and connections and replace the wires if the insulation is broken.

What to do if my Char-Broil Grill has a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame?
    • U
      usmithAug 21, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Grill could be due to several reasons. First, check if you are out of gas in the LP tank. Another cause might be that the excess flow valve has tripped; to fix this, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP tank valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP tank valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Finally, vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP tank connection can be the issue; turn off the knobs and LP tank valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the tank, reconnect it, and try again.

What to do if one burner does not light from other burner(s) on my Char-Broil 463250510?
    • R
      Rachel HoldenAug 25, 2025
If one burner does not light from the other burners on your Char-Broil Grill, it is probably due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

What to do if no sparks appear at any electrodes when burner control knobs are turned on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • J
      Jodi BellAug 26, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the burner control knobs are turned and no noise can be heard from the spark module of your Char-Broil Grill, the battery may not be installed properly; check the battery orientation. It could also be due to a dead battery; replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery. Another possibility is that the battery cap is not installed properly; remove and reinstall the battery cap, making sure it can be fully engaged. Finally, the spark module itself may be faulty; replace the spark module assembly.

What to do if no sparks appear at any electrodes, but noise can be heard from spark module on my Char-Broil 463250510 Grill?
    • T
      Todd TaylorAug 28, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the burner control knobs are turned, but noise can be heard from the spark module on your Char-Broil Grill, the output lead connections may not be connected. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. Also, the electrode tip may not be in the proper position. The tip of the electrode should be pointing toward the port hole in the burner, with a distance of 1/8” to 3/16”. Adjust if necessary.

What to do if sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • M
      michelle57Aug 30, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, the output lead connections may not be connected; remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. Arcing to the grill away from the burner(s) may also be the issue; if sparks are observed other than from the burner(s), the wire insulation may be damaged, so replace the wires. A weak battery could also be the cause; replace the battery with a new AA-size alkaline battery. The electrodes may be wet; use a paper towel to remove moisture. Finally, the electrodes may be cracked or broken (“sparks at crack”); replace cracked or broken electrodes.

Why is my Char-Broil 463250510 flaring up?
    • D
      Daniel ThompsonSep 1, 2025
Flare-ups in your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to several reasons: grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. To resolve this, clean the burners and inside of the grill/firebox, trim fat from meat before grilling, and adjust (lower) the temperature accordingly.

What to do if the flames blow out on my Char-Broil 463250510?
    • G
      gonzalesdavidSep 4, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Grill are blowing out, it could be due to high or gusting winds. Turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. It could also be due to low LP gas; refill the LP tank. Another possible cause is a tripped excess flow valve; refer to the “Sudden drop in gas flow” solution.

What to do if my Char-Broil 463250510 has a persistent grease fire?
    • R
      Robin MorganSep 6, 2025
If you experience a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To resolve this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP tank. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.

What to do if my Char-Broil 463250510 Grill has flashback (fire in burner tube(s))?
    • M
      Michelle Torres MDSep 8, 2025
If you experience flashback (fire in burner tube(s)) in your Char-Broil Grill, it indicates that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. See burner cleaning section of Use and Care manual.
