Why no sparks when pressing electronic ignition button on Char-Broil Grill?
    • M
      Misty BakerAug 18, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed and you hear no noise from the spark module on your Char-Broil Grill, first, check the battery orientation. If that's not the issue, replace the battery with a new alkaline battery. Also, ensure the button assembly is installed correctly by unscrewing the button cap assembly and reinstalling it, making sure the threads are aligned and fully engaged. If none of these steps work, the spark module may be faulty and need replacement.

Why no sparks but noise from spark module on Char-Broil Grill?
    • T
      tsmithAug 21, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed, but you can hear noise from the spark module of your Char-Broil Grill, the output lead connections may not be properly connected. To solve this, remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes.

Why are sparks weak on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • C
      Cesar LynchAug 23, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, first, remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. If possible, observe the grill in a dark location to check for arcing between output wires and the grill frame. Also, a weak battery could be the cause, so replace it with a new alkaline battery. Make sure the electrodes are dry by using a paper towel to remove any moisture. Finally, check if the electrodes are cracked or broken, and replace them if necessary.

Why one burner does not light from other burner on Char-Broil Grill?
    • R
      richarddavisAug 26, 2025
If one burner does not light from other burners on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush to resolve this issue.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow on my Char-Broil RED 463250211 Grill?
    • H
      Heather GarciaAug 28, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if your LP cylinder is out of gas. If not, the excess flow valve might have tripped; in this case, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. If the flames remain low, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn the LP cylinder valve back on, wait 30 seconds, and then try lighting the grill again. Another possibility is a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. To resolve this, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

How to stop flare-ups on my Char-Broil RED 463250211 Grill?
    • K
      katherine10Aug 31, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to a few reasons. One common cause is grease buildup, so make sure to clean the burners and the inside of the grill or firebox. Another reason could be excessive fat in the meat you're grilling; trim the fat before cooking. Lastly, excessive cooking temperature can also cause flare-ups, so adjust the temperature accordingly to a lower setting.

What to do if flames blow out on my Char-Broil RED 463250211 Grill?
    • I
      imillsSep 2, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil grill blow out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; try turning the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. It could also be that you are low on LP gas, so refill the LP cylinder. Another possibility is that the excess flow valve has tripped; in this case, refer to the instructions for a sudden drop in gas flow.

What to do if there is a persistent grease fire in my Char-Broil RED 463250211 Grill?
    • J
      John PetersonSep 5, 2025
If you are experiencing a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil Grill, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and allow the fire to burn out. Once the grill has cooled down completely, remove and clean all the parts.

    • T
      trodriguezSep 7, 2025
If you experience a flashback (fire in burner tube(s)) on your Char-Broil Grill, turn the knobs to the OFF position. The burner and/or burner tubes may be blocked, so clean the burner and/or burner tubes. Refer to the burner cleaning section for instructions.

Why can't I fill my Char-Broil RED 463250211 LP cylinder?
    • A
      Ashley SnyderSep 10, 2025
If you are unable to fill your LP cylinder, it might be because some dealers have older fill nozzles with worn threads. These worn nozzles may not have enough "bite" to engage the valve. Try a second LP dealer to see if they can fill it.
