Instrument Cluster Functions
1. Tachometer
The white area of the scale shows the
permissible engine revolutions-per-
minute (rpm x 1000) for each gear
range. Before the tachometer reaches
the red area, ease up on the accelera-
tor to prevent engine damage.
2. Airbag Light
This light illuminates for
three to four seconds as a
bulb check when the ignition
switch is first turned ON. If
the light does not illuminate during
starting, stays on, or turns on while
driving, have the system checked by
an authorized Chery dealer.
3. Charging System Light
This light shows the status of
the electrical charging sys-
tem. The light should illumi-
nate when the ignition switch
is first turned ON and remain on briefly
as a bulb check. If the light remains on
or turns on while driving, turn off some
of the vehicle’s electrical devices, such
as the fog lights or rear defroster. If the
light remains on, it indicates that the
charging system is experiencing a
problem. See your authorized Chery
dealer for service immediately.
4. Oil Pressure Light
This light shows low engine
oil pressure. The light will
turn on and remain on for
several seconds when the ig-
nition switch is turned from the LOCK
or ACC position to the ON position.
The light will turn off after the engine
is started. If the light does not turn on
during starting, have the system
checked by an authorized Chery
dealer. If the light turns on and re-
mains on while driving, safely bring
the vehicle to a stop and shut the en-
gine off. Check the engine oil level
and verify it is in the proper operating
range. If the oil pressure light remains
on, have the vehicle towed to an au-
thorized Chery dealer.
5. Speedometer
The Speedometer indicates vehicle
speed in kilometers per hour (km/h).
NOTE:
Use the tires designated for
your vehicle. Otherwise the speedom-
eter will not indicate the correct vehicle
speed.
6. Malfunction Indicator Light
This light is part of the On-
board Diagnostic System
(OBD) that monitors vehicle
emissions and engine con-
trol systems. The light will illuminate
when the key is in the ON position be-
fore the engine starts. If the light does
not turn on when turning the key from
LOCK or ACC to ON, have the condi-
tion checked promptly. If the Malfunc-
tion Indicator Light turns on when the
