What to do if my Chicago Electric Saw will not start?
    • D
      Danielle BoyleJul 31, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Saw won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the power cord is properly connected to both the saw and a working outlet. Check the outlet for power; if it's unpowered, turn off the saw and check the circuit breaker. If the breaker is tripped, confirm that the circuit has sufficient capacity for the saw and isn't overloaded. It is also possible that the tool’s thermal reset breaker tripped, in this case turn off the tool and allow to cool, then press the reset button on the tool. Finally, internal damage or wear, such as to the carbon brushes or switch, could be the issue, in that case have a technician service the tool.

Why is my Chicago Electric 69275 overheating?
    • E
      erobersonAug 5, 2025
Overheating in your Chicago Electric Saw can occur for several reasons. Avoid forcing the machine to work too fast, and allow it to operate at its own pace. Ensure the blade is correctly aligned to the fence and table. Keep the cutting blades sharp, replacing them when necessary. Clear any blockages from the motor housing vents, while wearing safety goggles and a dust mask, using compressed air to blow out dust. Lastly, the motor may be strained by using a long or small diameter extension cord; eliminate the extension cord or use a shorter, heavier gauge cord. See Table A on page 3.

    • Q
      qarellanoAug 11, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Saw operates slowly, it might be due to an extension cord that is too long or has a wire size that is too small. Try eliminating the use of the extension cord. If an extension cord is necessary, use a shorter or heavier gauge cord. See Table A on page 3.
