Prerequisites for Implementing Multicast Routing
You must install and activate the multicast pie.

For MLDP, an MPLS PIE has to be installed.
You must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper task IDs. The command
reference guides include the task IDs required for each command. If you suspect user group assignment
is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator for assistance.
You must be familiar with IPv4 and IPv6 multicast routing configuration tasks and concepts.
Unicast routing must be operational.
To enable multicast VPN, you must configure a VPN routing and forwarding (VRF) instance.
