Verifying the Hardware Installation
To verify the hardware installation, complete the following tasks:
• Check the cable connections.
• Check the state of the indicator lights.

Off The WAP371 is out of power.
Solid (Green) The Cisco WAP371 is powered on, booting, or
in normal operation with PoE.
Solid (Amber) The Cisco WAP371 is powered on, booting, or
in normal operation with External Power
Adapter
Flashing (Green
or Amber)
The Cisco WAP371 is upgrading the firmware,
or is acquiring an IPv4 or IPv6 address.
Solid (Red) The Cisco WAP371 fails to boot with both
firmware images.
WLAN
Off Wireless is disabled, for both 2.4 GHz and 5
GHz.
Solid Wireless is enabled.
Green Concurrent mode enabled.
Amber 5 GHz is in use.
Blue 2.4 GHz is in use.
Flashing The WAP371 is transmitting or receiving data.
LAN
Off No Ethernet link.
Solid Green GE Ethernet link is active.
Solid Amber FE Ethernet link is active.
Flashing The WAP 371 is transmitting or receiving data.
