3.3 Bluetooth Connection
3.3.1 Pairing
To insure stable Bluetooth communication between the host and the printer,
Search Bluetooth Device Set Pairing must be implemented at the time of
initial connection. Pairing may be different in operation by the model or the
host. (The following may or may not occur depending on the host setting.)
BT model
After connection, a passkey (PIN code) may be requested. Enter a passkey.
BD model
When connected from the host, operation may be different depending on
whether the host has SSP (Simple and Safe Pairing) feature or not.
If the host has SSP feature, safe pairing will be established without additional
operation.
If the host has no SSP feature, a passkey may be requested. Enter a passkey.
The device name to be found and the passkey to be entered are as follows:
Device name: CITIZEN SYSTEMS
Passkey: Enter the last four digits of the address printed by self-printing.
(Use capital letter for A through F.)
Example: If the address is 01:23:45:67:89:AB, the passkey may
be “89AB”
If “No Response” = Not found is set with MSW13-5 in case of BD model, no
printer may be found by Search Device. In this case, when you press the FEED
button for 3 or 4 seconds with the printer power on and cover opened, the
printer enters Can Find mode (Findable mode). Findable mode is cleared when
the printer is connected to the host.
