Deactivation
Inextremelysevereconditions(deepsnow,
mud...),whenitisnotpossibletomoveoff,it
maybeusefultotemporarilydeactivatethe
systems,sothatthewheelscanspinfreelyand
regaingrip.
F Pressthisbutton,locatedontheleftbelow
thesteeringwheel.
Illuminationofthelampinthebuttonindicates
thatthesystemsaredeactivated.
Reactivation
Thesesystemsarereactivatedautomatically
eachtimetheignitionisswitchedbackon
orfrom30mph(50km/h)except1.6litre
(THP150,THP155andTHP160)and
RACINGpetrolengines.
F Pressthisbuttonagaintoreactivatethem
manually.
Operating fault
TheDSC/ASRsystemsoffer
exceptionalsafetyinnormaldriving,but
thisshouldnotencouragethedriverto
takeextrarisksordriveathighspeed.
Thecorrectfunctioningofthese
systemsdependsonobservationofthe
manufacturer'srecommendationson:
- wheels(tyresandrims),
- brakingcomponents,
- electroniccomponents,
- assemblyandrepairprocedures.
Afteranimpact,havethesesystems
checkedbyaCITROËNdealerora
qualifiedworkshop.
Illuminationofthiswarninglampinthe
instrumentpanelandthelampinthe
button,accompaniedbyanaudible
signalandamessage,thisindicatesa
malfunctionofthesesystems.
