      Claire WarrenAug 12, 2025
If your Clarion Car Receiver doesn't power on, the fuse may be blown. Replace it with a fuse of the same amperage. If it blows again, consult your store of purchase. Also, check for incorrect wiring; if found, consult your store of purchase.

Why is there no sound from my Clarion Car Receiver?
    • M
      Monica DanielAug 16, 2025
If you are not getting any sound from your Clarion Car Receiver, it could be due to several reasons. The speaker protection circuit might be operating; try turning down the sound volume or turning the power off and on again. If the sound is still muted, consult our service department. Alternatively, if you are using a disc, ensure that MP3/WMA/AAC files are written onto the disc properly and are encoded correctly. Also, verify that you are using the ISO9660 level 1, 2 or JOLIET or Romeo or APPLE ISO file system.

      Anthony ShafferAug 20, 2025
If nothing happens when you press the buttons on your Clarion Car Receiver and the display is not accurate, the microprocessor may have malfunctioned. To resolve this, turn off the power, then press the Reset button and remove the DCP. Press the reset button for about 2 seconds with a thin rod. Also, the DCP or main unit connectors could be dirty. Wipe them off with a soft cloth moistened with cleaning alcohol.

Why is there no sound output from my Clarion Car Receiver with amplifiers or power antenna?
    • R
      robertpierceAug 27, 2025
If you're experiencing no sound output from your Clarion Car Receiver when using amplifiers or a power antenna, the power antenna lead may be shorted to ground, or excessive current might be required for remote-on the amplifiers or power antenna. Here's how to troubleshoot: 1. Turn the unit off. 2. Remove all wires attached to the power antenna lead and check each wire for a possible short to ground using an ohm meter. 3. Turn the unit back on. 4. Reconnect each amplifier remote wire to the power antenna lead one by one. If the amplifiers turn off before all wires are attached, use an external relay to provide remote-on voltage (excessive current required).

    • M
      marksdawnSep 4, 2025
If the sound quality of your Clarion Car Receiver is poor immediately after turning it on, water droplets may have formed on the internal lens due to parking in a humid place. Allow it to dry for about 1 hour with the power on.

What to do if I can’t insert the device in my Clarion DXZ785USB?
    • R
      Richard ValenciaSep 8, 2025
If you can’t insert the device into your Clarion Car Receiver, it may have been inserted improperly. Try reversing the connection direction of the device, usually the brand name surface should be facing left. If that doesn’t work, the connector may be broken; in this case, replace it with a new device.
