Why CLEAN BURN Furnace pump will not prime but the motor is running?
    • B
      Brandon HodgesAug 15, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace pump will not prime but the pump motor is running, the possible causes are: * Leaks in the suction line. * Improper pump installation. * Dry pump gears. * Damaged pump seal. * Closed ball valve. * Dirty canister filter. * Dirty check valve. * Damaged or worn-out pump. Solutions include ensuring the suction line is airtight, filling the pump head with oil before starting, filling the oil line and priming the pump, replacing the pump or seal if damaged, opening the ball valve, and cleaning the canister filter and check valve. If these steps don't work, the pump may need replacement.

What to do if CLEAN BURN CB-1750 pump won't prime and the motor is not running?
    • J
      Joanna ChapmanAug 18, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace pump will not prime and the pump motor is NOT running, it could be due to: 1. No power on the pump circuit from the burner. 2. The pump motor has shut off on thermal overload. To resolve this, start the burner and adjust the air pressure regulator to 15 PSI to check if the pump circuit activates. If not, troubleshoot the pump circuit from the burner to the pump, checking for power at the brown wire on the air pressure switch. If the pump motor has overheated, wait for it to cool down and reset. Also, check the coupling adjustment to ensure free shaft movement.

How to fix CLEAN BURN CB-1750 when burner won’t run and power light is off?
    • P
      Paula ParkAug 22, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace burner won’t run at all and the green power light is NOT ON, check the following: 1. Circuit breaker/main switch open. 2. Blown fuse/breaker. 3. Damaged or improperly plugged-in burner cable. To solve this, close the circuit breaker/switch, have an electrician check the electrical system, and inspect the burner cable.

What to do if CLEAN BURN Furnace burner ignites, but will not stay running?
    • R
      Rebecca WilsonAug 26, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace burner ignites but shuts off on reset within 15 seconds, it could be due to several reasons: * A fuel delivery problem. * A dirty cad cell. * Loose cad cell wires. * Damaged cad cell/cad cell wires. * The primary control not receiving the proper ohm signal from the cad cell. Possible solutions include cleaning or replacing the cad cell and wires, ensuring proper wire connections at the "F" terminals on the oil primary control, and checking the cad cell position to ensure it looks straight through the central hole in the retention head. Also, verify the position of the retention head.

Why does my CLEAN BURN Furnace burner shut off on reset periodically?
    • B
      Brandy HutchinsonAug 28, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace burner ignites and runs properly, but shuts off on reset periodically, suspect these causes: 1. Air in the suction oil line due to leaks at the fittings. 2. Air trapped in a high point in the pressure oil line. To resolve this, vacuum test the pump and properly seal the suction line fittings to eliminate air leaks. Also, bleed the air out of the pressure oil line.

What to do if CLEAN BURN Furnace burner ignites and shuts off later?
    • S
      scoxSep 1, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace burner ignites and then shuts off on reset sometime later, it could be due to: * Air in the fuel supply. * The primary control not receiving the proper ohm signal from the cad cell. * Insufficient air pressure. * A cold heater block. * Fouled electrodes. To address this, prime the pump, check for a proper ohm signal, adjust the air regulator for proper air pressure, ensure the heater block remains hot by not shutting off power to the furnace overnight (instead, turn the wall thermostat to OFF), and clean the electrodes and retention head if oil residues have built up.

What to do if CLEAN BURN Furnace burner won’t run but the power light is on?
    • E
      erika81Sep 4, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace burner won’t run at all and the green power light is ON, the possible causes are: 1. Oil primary control has shut down on safety reset. 2. Wall thermostat is not operating. 3. Heater block is not heating up. 4. F-120 proving switch has not closed. 5. Oil primary control terminals are not wired correctly. 6. Oil primary control is damaged. 7. The L-200 or L-290 limit switches have opened. To troubleshoot, reset the oil primary control, check the wall thermostat and cable, ensure the heater block is hot, check the F-120 proving switch for power, verify the oil primary control wiring, and replace the oil primary control if necessary. Also, test the limit switch for power.

Why does my CLEAN BURN Furnace blower motor run all the time?
    • C
      Chelsea HuffmanSep 8, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace blower motor runs all the time, it could be due to: 1. Incorrectly wired blower motor circuit. 2. For CB-2500/3250 models only: a blower relay stuck in the closed position. To troubleshoot, refer to the wiring diagram and ladder schematic to check the blower circuit. Also, test the blower motor contactor and replace it if it does not open when the power is turned OFF.

What to do if CLEAN BURN CB-1750 blower motor will not run?
    • T
      tmccarthySep 12, 2025
If the CLEAN BURN Furnace blower motor will not run, possible causes include: 1. Incorrect wiring of the blower motor. 2. A defective fan/blower switch. 3. The blower motor overheating and shutting down on thermal reset. 4. For CB-2500/3250 models only: the blower relay not closing. To troubleshoot, check the fan motor wiring, replace the fan/blower switch if defective, allow the blower motor to cool down if it has overheated, and test the blower motor contactor, checking for proper voltage at the L1/L2 lugs and the orange wire on the coil.
