Mid-Spanning Buffer Tubes
The following are instructions for mid-
spanning a single buffer tube inside the MPT,
and expressing the remaining bers that aren’t
spliced.

Prior to storing the remaining buffer tubes
in the back of the MPT, bring one side of
the buffer tube to be mid-spanned through
the opening on the side of the bulkhead.
Repeat for the other side so that all the
slack in the buffer tube is located in front
of the terminal.
3. Utilize the tie down areas within the bulk-
head, mark the buffer tube on each side
approximately 1/2” above this tie down
point.
Using the appropriate tool, mid-span the buffer tube to expose the bers be-
tween the marks you made on the buffer tube.
