An additional electrical switch on the deadman handle enables the operator to open or close the
pneumatically operated metering valve when the deadman handle is depressed. A magnetic valve
mounted on the electric control panel RME-2 (item 15) converts the electric signal into a pneumatic
signal. When the deadman handle is released the media metering valve closes independent of
the switch position.
