Observeboththedrainplugandtheoillterfromunderthevehicleandwatchforoilleaks.Iflterleaks,tighten
additional1/4turnandretest,ifoildrainplugleaks,re-torqueandretest.
17.Removethedipstickandchecktheengineoilasanalstep.Replacethedipstick.

•TurnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionbeforefueling.
•Donotpourfuelintothefueltankwhentheengineishotorwhileitisrunning.
•Besurethefueltankgroundwire,locatednexttothefuelshut-offvalve,isproperlyconnectedbefore
fuelingthevehicle.
•Toavoidelectricarccausedbystaticelectricity,thefuelstorage/pumpingdevicemustbegrounded.If
thepumpisnotgrounded,thevehiclemustbegroundedtothepumpbeforeandduringthefueling
operation.
•Ifthevehiclehasanall-weatherenclosureinstalled,besurethefueltankisproperlyventedasshown
(Figure25,Page34).
•Toavoidthepossibilityofre,cleanupanyspilledfuelbeforeoperatingthevehicle.
