Operating instructions
Note:
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before turning
thedehumidifier on if it is not to be used without the drain hose.
• Thewater reservoir must be correctly fitted before thedehumidifier can be switched on.
• Remember to empty thewater reservoir before moving thedehumidifier.
• Thedehumidifier works best at normal room temperature, its efficiency is reduced if
theambient temperature falls to below 15 ºC.
• Let thedehumidifier operate continuously for 24 hours thefirst time it used.
• If thedehumidifier is turned off and then turned back on again immediately,
it will take approximately 3 minutes to reach full power.
• Never use thedehumidifier without theair filter in place.
• If thedehumidifier is switched off by apower cut it will automatically switch back on once
thepower is restored.
Switching thedehumidier on/o
1. Read all theinstructions in theSafety and Placement sections above.
2. Connect themains lead to awall socket with thespecifications listed in
part 1 of theSafety section above.
3. Turn thedehumidifier on by pressing the[ Power ] button.
4. Turn thedehumidifier off by pressing the[ Power ] button again.
Setting thedesired level of humidity
Note:
• When thedehumidifier is switched on thedisplay shows thecurrent humidity in theroom in
which thedehumidifier is located.
• If thehumidity of theroom is 40 % and theappliance is set to maintain ahumidity level of 60 %,
theappliance will not operate.
1. Press [ − ] or [ + ] to set thedesired humidity. Thehumidity level can be set in therange 35–85 % RH
in increments of 5 %.
2. When thedesired humidity level has been reached thedehumidifier switches off automatically.
Setting thetimer
When thedehumidifier is switched on:
1. Press [ Timer ], thestop timer indicator lights up.
2. Set thedesired stop time by pressing or holding down [ − ] or [ + ]. Each press changes thetime
in 30-min increments up to the10-hour mark. Thereafter in increments of 60 minutes.
3. Press [ Timer ] again, thestart timer indicator lights up.
4. Set thedesired start time by pressing or holding down [ − ] or [ + ].
5. After afew seconds thedisplay reverts to showing thecurrent humidity and thetimer
indicators light up to show that thetimer settings are activated.
6. The [ Timer ] button can be pressed at any time to check thesettings.
7. Thetimer settings can be changed at any time by pressing [ Timer ] and then [ − ] or [ + ].
