Note:
• The (relative) humidity of air is usually expressed as apercentage and is ameasure of how
much water theair contains at acertain temperature.
• Humidity is low during thewinter/spring. If theappliance does not extract water from theair it
might be because there is not enough humidity for theappliance to operate.
• Theappliance can extract alot of water or avery little water, depending on thehumidity of
theroom.
• If thehumidity of theroom is 40 % and theappliance is set to maintain ahumidity level of 60 %,
theappliance will not remove any moisture (thefan will run but not thecompressor).
Safety
• Theproduct must only be connected to anearthed outlet (230 V, 50 Hz) fitted with anRCD.
• Theproduct may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct in asafe way and
understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under adult supervision.
• Theproduct must always stand upright.
• Never sit, cover or place foreign objects on theproduct.
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before turning
theproduct on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidification.
• Theproduct must stand upright for at least 1 hour before it is used for thefirst time.
Thesame applies if theproduct has been placed on its side, etc. during amove or when
being cleaned.
• Make sure that theair filter is clean and fitted correctly before turning theproduct on.
• Never use theproduct if themains lead, plug or any other part is damaged or does not work
properly.
• Never try to dismantle or repair theproduct yourself.
• If theproduct needs to be connected with anextension lead or trailing socket, make sure
that thelead used is suitable for use with theproduct.
• Never plug in or unplug theproduct with wet hands.
• Never insert foreign objects into theopenings in theproduct.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it emits strange noises, odours or smoke.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it tips over or if it is splashed with water. Contact aqualified
service technician before using theproduct again.
