Processors and parts
Each processor is programmed specifically for each
implant. Never wear another person’s processor or lend
yours to another person.
Use your Osia System only with approved devices and
accessories.
If you experience a significant change in performance,
remove your processor and contact your hearing care
professional.
Your processor and other parts of the system contain
complex electronic parts. These parts are durable but
must be treated with care.
Do not subject your sound processor to water or heavy
rain as it might degrade the performance of the device.
No modification of this equipment is allowed. Warranty
will be void if modified.
If you experience numbness, tightness or pain at the
implant site, or develop significant skin irritation, or
experience vertigo, stop using your sound processor and
contact your hearing care professional.
Do not apply continued pressure to the processor when
in contact with the skin (e.g. sleeping while lying on
processor, or using tight fitting headwear).
If you need to adjust the program often or if adjusting
the program ever causes discomfort, consult your hearing
care professional.
Do not place the processor or parts in any household
devices (e.g. microwave oven, dryer).
The magnetic attachment of your sound processor to
your implant may be affected by other magnetic sources.
Store spare magnets safely and away from cards that may
have a magnetic strip (e.g. credit cards, bus tickets).
