Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• The Osia 2 Sound Processor, remote and related
accessories are MR Unsafe.
• The Osia implant is MRI conditional. For full MRI safety
information refer to the information supplied with the
system, or contact your regional Cochlear office (contact
numbers available at the end of this document).
• If the patient is implanted with other implants, consult the
manufacturer’s instructions before performing MRI.

Physical configuration
The processing unit comprises:
• Two microphones for receiving sounds.
• Custom integrated circuits with digital signal processing
(DSP).
• A visual indication.
• A button allowing user control of key features.
• A battery providing power to the sound processor, which
transfers energy and data to the implant.
