DESCRIPTIO
N - The electrical system of your Tractor may be compared to
the
wat
er
works of a city. The gen
erat
or is the pumping
stat
ion; the
batt
er
y; the
wat
er
tank
which
stor
es the electrici
ty
; the wires, the mains which
carr
y the cur-
rent;
and
the light,
start
er, and ignition s
yst
em,

e units which use the
curr
ent
or
water.
Con

ols
are
provided to
adjust
the
flow of current
just
as valves

e required in
the main. A switch is req
uir
ed for the lights, the
start
er,
and
the ignition system,
and in combination
with
the light sw
itch

er
e is an extra position to control the
c
urr
ent flow
fro
m
th
e gen
erat
or to
th
e
batt
er
y to
pr
ev
ent
overcharging the bat-
tery iust as controls
ar
e used
at
the
wat
er
works to keep the wat
er
tank

om
overflowing. In
order
to keep the cur rent flowing correctly th
er
e must be good
connections to
pr
eve
nt
obstructing th e current and th
er

must
be no leaks, such as
worn insulation or corroded
batt
ery

inals.

the voltage or

e of the current coming

ator is not high enough so it is neces-
sary

up by means of a coil.
