Why is there no siren output from my Code 3 Security Sensors?
    • R
      Randy ChaneyAug 20, 2025
If your Code 3 Security Sensors siren isn't producing any sound, there are several possible reasons. The park kill feature may be activated, in which case you should shift the vehicle out of park. Alternatively, the SirenLock might be engaged, requiring you to select the appropriate SirenLock level. It's also possible that there's a short in the speaker or speaker wires, causing the siren to enter overcurrent protection mode, so check the connections. Finally, overvoltage (greater than 15V) could be the issue, so examine the vehicle battery.

What to do if the P. A. volume is low on Code 3 Security Sensors?
    • C
      charles47Aug 22, 2025
If the P.A. volume on your Code 3 Security Sensors is low or completely absent, there could be several reasons. Ensure the P.A. volume is adequately increased. Check that the microphone is fully plugged in. A defective microphone could also be the problem, requiring a replacement. Verify that the common microphone circuit is correctly wired. It's also possible that you're using an incompatible microphone.

Why does my Code 3 Security Sensors siren shut down while running?
    • K
      Kerri WilsonAug 25, 2025
If your Code 3 Security Sensors siren runs for a short time and then shuts down, only to restart after a few minutes, the vehicle circuit breakers may not be properly rated or functioning correctly. Consult the specifications section and use a breaker rated at 1.25 times the amperage of the expected load current.

    Jamie AdkinsAug 26, 2025
Why does the RRB shut off after extended use on Code 3 Z3?
    • T
      tmackAug 26, 2025
If your Code 3 Security Sensors' RRB shuts off after extended use, it is normal. The RRB shuts off after an extended period to prevent overheating and damage to the amplifier's components. Allow the amplifier a few minutes to cool down.

What does it mean when the LEDs flash rapidly on Code 3 Z3 Security Sensors?
    • A
      Ashley TuckerAug 28, 2025
If the green, amber, and/or red LEDs on your Code 3 Security Sensors are flashing rapidly and continuously, one or more of the 3-level fuses in the amplifier may have blown. Replace the blown fuse(s) in the amplifier. It's also possible that 12V is not being supplied to the 12V 3L input, so check the input power connection. Another potential cause is a level output shorted, so check the connection to the load.

Why are the AUX buttons flashing on my Code 3 Security Sensors?
    • R
      rodney08Aug 30, 2025
If any of the active AUX A-F push-buttons on your Code 3 Security Sensors are flashing rapidly and continuously, one or more of the AUX A-F fuses in the amplifier may have blown. Replace the blown fuse(s) in the amplifier. It's also possible that 12V is not being supplied to the AUX A-F outputs, so check the harness connection between the amplifier and the auxiliary devices.

    Amanda SmallSep 1, 2025
Why is my Code 3 Security Sensors siren sounding by itself?
    • S
      Sierra Harrison DVMSep 1, 2025
If your Code 3 Security Sensors siren is sounding by itself, the remote switch (horn ring) wiring from the terminal remote might be shorting to positive or to ground (earth). Check the wiring for any shorts.
  • K
    Kelly RomeroSep 3, 2025
What causes the external fuse to blow on Code 3 Z3?
    • L
      Lynn BauerSep 3, 2025
If your Code 3 Security Sensors' external 20A fuse blows, it could be due to reversed polarity in the amplifier power wires, so check the polarity. Also, replace the speaker(s).
  • F
    franklinkrystalSep 5, 2025
What to do if there's no output from the speaker of Code 3 Z3 Security Sensors?
    • J
      Joseph YoungSep 5, 2025
If you're not getting any output from the speaker of your Code 3 Security Sensors, but you can hear tones inside the amplifier module, the speaker might not be connected, or there could be an open circuit in the speaker wiring. Check the speaker wiring. Defective speakers could also be the cause, so replace the speaker(s).
  • T
    Tom MartinSep 7, 2025
Why are the siren tones too low on Code 3 Security Sensors?
    • W
      William BishopSep 7, 2025
If the siren tones volume on your Code 3 Security Sensors is too low or garbled, there might be low voltage to the siren amplifier. Check the wiring for bad connections and inspect the vehicle charging system. High resistance in the wiring or a defective speaker could also be the problem, so check the speaker(s) wiring and consider replacing the speaker(s). Improperly phased speakers can also cause this issue.
